Wheel Offsets
Is there anything wrong w/ running different offsets on wheels? I have a friend who is running +45 offsets on 3 wheels and +40 on his fourth.
2nd question..If you're going to have a setup like that, is it better to have +45 on two and +40 on the other two? Which ones should be up front? Which should be in the back? Why?
I know that you should be running the same offsets on all 4 wheels. I'm trying to find out b/c he has different rims and wants to run this setup on his G3 teg. I have no clue why, I'm just trying to help him out.

Yes, there's everything wrong with that! Offset is one of the factors that determine where your tires are tracking. By having one of them off center from the other ones, you're asking for trouble.... steering and alignment will be affected, among other things. If you HAVE to run different offsets, then I would run both fronts with one and both rears with another, and AGAIN if you have to choose, run the smaller offset on front and the "larger" offset on the rears. That will give you a slightly wider track in front which isn't terrible...
