Default b16/CRX Si Went 14.76@87.85 MPH???? Somthing wrong????

Hey I have a 88 crx si with a b16. Mods are AEM CAI, AEM cam gears, skunk2 intake manifold, JG 66mm Throttle body, dc headers, AEM fuel rail, and 2.25 inch custom magnaflow exhaust running on m/t 20x6x14 baby slicks with stock suspension. car weighs 2200 lbs with me in it. I was wondering if that was a good time for those mods??? 87 MPH seems a little low. i ran a 14.9@94 without slicks. I ran a 2.0 60ft with slicks and 2.25 with out slicks. are the 20 inch slicks killing my MPH or what???

something seriously wrong bro, I ran a 14.80 in a 91 civic SI, same weight as you with JUST exhaust and my b16a, nothing else, bone stock... get a compression check done and then check out your ECU, make sure its no an automatic pwo or pr3. goodluck

I was bogging launching at 6500 rpm on 22X8X15 MTs, so I don't think it would be overkill... kinda depends on the track as well though.

BTW: 1.9s 60' is SO much fun. I need to buy my own slicks Having traction off the line is a whole new experience! Drag racing is just so much more exciting with slicks!

yah you are launching way to low, your slicks arent killing you, your just not launching high enough, i launch at 4500 on street tires.

the mph is pretty low, you should be over at least 93 mph with that set up, try launching at like 5500rpm, experiment a little, you should be able to run street tires though with that set up and launch at like 4000rpm and get around a 14.5 at like 96mph that would be respectable.

the bar code sticker on the ECU says AUTO or Manual.
