on a 1st gen b16 what vtec sol. gasket do i use? i tried to use a us b16 del sol gasket ( its the same as 00-99 si) it did not work. the gasket are just a tiny bit different, but enough not to be interchangeable.

will the b17 vtec sol. gasket work? does anybody have the b17 vtec sol. gasket part number?

its not different. are you trying to use a DOHC gasket on a SOHC?

 

no your wrong, they are different. anybody else think they know?

 

There's no VTEC del Sol B17 - nor a B17 VTEC model variant (from the factory). All the head gaskets from the B16 del Sols will be the same. Try cross-referencing part numbers on http://www.autozone.com or something.

EDIT: I meant a B17 VTEC model.

there is a b17 that came in 92-93 gsr's

 

Are you talking about the gasket on top or on the side (where ths solenoid meets the head)? I used a 99-00 Si side vtec solenoid gasket but couldn't quite figure out which gasket to use for the top portion of the vtec solenoid.

 

anyone else?
