I too had cooling problems with my 92 civic with a D16Y8 with a HM turbo set-up and then I tried flushing the system, putting on a pusher fan(between the IC and radiator)....Still did not work so I got a Del SOl dual core and that has seemed to fix everything...............Have you tried running your fan constantly?

I got a C&R radiator because my stock one finally went bad after 136K+ miles. it's kinda of a overkill since I could've gotten another stock one but I just wanted a better cooling efficiently.
Stock EG...works great...my ECT sensor went out so instead of replacing the sensor I just made a toggle switch for the fan. Wasn't coming on at all. Now that I can use it when the car gets hot(which is not often at all) all is good.
P.S. All was fine until sensor went out...good radiator/fan.

No i haven't tried running it constantly but i had my system flushed, and new presure swicth, termastate, and an aftermarket factory replacment 2 core radiator, and FAL thin fan and still the tem. gauge stays at 1/2 or alittle above and some times it goes 3/4 way up before the fan will kick on. Where do you guys temp gauges stay(1/2,or3/4) and with a C&R,or Fluyidyne does the temp. gauge still stay 1/2 or what.
I have some no name Bullet racing radiator. Car stays nice and cool.
I had no problems with my stock one, but when we did my swap we bumped the tranny on it and it cracked.... go with a Koyo w/ thin fan or a Fluidyne if you're looking for the best.

Have you checked to make sure your temp. gauge works correctly? Maybe the needle is reading wrong.
Otherwise you shouldn't have a problem with the setup you have, so I don't know what else would cause it.

Stock has been working fine in my 92 Civic w/ B18C1.
If it ever dies I have had a dual core del Sol radiator sitting in my garage for over a year.

I am using the same radiator as i was using when i had an H22 in my car. Its an auto EX dual core with a slim fan from Advanced auto parts. It never got hot at all and the fan worked great. Seems to me that your guage is off. Get an autometer water temp guage and see whats up
i went from my stock cx radiator to the del sol dual core radiator
never ran my b16a with out it so i have nothin to compare it to
but
it was cheap
so i upgraded
try importrads.com
i think mine is made by koyo

now that you have said that i never noticed it untile i put my JDM SIR EG gauge cluster, maby it is alittle off.But i have new water pump and everything, with the setup i have i souldn't have any problem. And i don't want to get a fluyidyne and have to get another fan because of clearnce problems,I had to get the shortest clutch bleeder i could find when i put the thick dual core radiator in,if i get any thing thicker i will have to put the fan on the front side of the radiator,it's very close now.!

reasons:
1 still have ac.
2 space. (turbo)
