Default clanking noise when i make sharp left turns

have any of your cars made this noise before? a similar noise occured once before but it turned out that it was only a plastic mud guard that was loose. that noise quit as soon as i fixed the guard. there is no sign of any rubbing when i cut the wheel all the way left (like turing into a parking place) and slowly make a turn. well, with this information can anyone offer any suggestions?

Sounds like you need a new axle.
Check your CV boot and see if you have any rips and grease all over the place.

either the axle, or check and make sure your front passenger side wheel isn't about to fall off.
