Spoon N1 fitment issues...
It appears that there are fitment issues with different b-pipes + spoon N1 not just with my Apex N1 B pipe.
My b pipe has nothing to do with the angle of the exhaust because I took the axleback off of the apex b pipe and let it hang freely on the hangers and it is still way to the left.
It appears that the position of the left hanger is the culprit. The left hanger is wedge high because of that little metal bar that sits below it. Maybe I can hacksaw that sucker off?
I took the left hanger off of the exhaust and snapped some pictures, it sits perfect:

I ghetto-wedged a piece of cardboard in the left hanger's place until I can figure out what to do.

Here's a before picture with the hangers on the wrong spots:

Any suggestions or insights anyone?

are you saying it's too short?
you can just go to muffler shop and extend the pipe .
it's probably because the difference length in the cat usdm cat VS jdm cat.
some b-pipes are made to fit jdm cat length some are made for usdm cat length.
good luck
or is it even for ITR's it could be one for the civics?

bend the exhaust hangers..... when i first put on my n1, i experienced some rattle, but then my buddy, who is a mechanic at a muffler shop, bent the hangers a bit until the exhaust was perfectly centered and was not close to any heat shields... no rattle from then on

Mickey aka TypeRyo has just a small tad of rattle but its expected IMO. Bend the hangers, Take it to an exhaust shop and have them redo the hangers, or keep tryin to rig.
Good luck to you...it looks great though

I have this problem as well! What the hell is that? I have been under my car a hundred times and can't seem to come to any conclusions. We need to put our heads together here... Or hope someone smarter posts the answer
Has everyone had this with their stock ITR exhaust as well? Or just aftermarket b pipes and axle backs?

are you sure the bushing will not reach the left-correct hanger? try it and snap some pics for us.
If that doesn't work, either ur car's left hanger is f8cked or your spoon's left hanger is f8cked.
and i'm thinking the N1 might be the problem.

The bushing reaches the left hanger, but it pulls the spoon n1 to the far left making it crooked.
UPDATE - I just fixed the problem. I went to Autozone and bought a cheap hanger and cut a 1/4 notch out of the side that hits the metal bar, installed it and BAM, perfect!

Well the problem is Not a problem with the exhaust.
The Problem is because you are using a B Pipe that the Axleback was not designed to fit to, But just happens to somewhat fit to. So in that case it becomes a Custom Job and you will end up having to play around with gaskets, hangers etc to get it to sit right.
The Spoon N1 AxleBack was designed to Bolt to an 1)OEM B Pipe, 2)Spoon B Pipe, 3)T1R B Pipe, 4)Vision B Pipe, 5)Any other B Pipe made to fit in the stock B Pipes place perfectly.

Mike, as I stated above I removed the axleback from the APEX bpipe and still had the same fitment issues. I've also noticed that other members on this board who have the Spoon N1 and either the OEM B pipe or the T1R B pipe have the same problem.
We all know what the Spoon N1 fits onto. No need for the bold

I know you know, but just in case others didn't
(Since people ask me all the time)
I've never had a problem with the Spoon N1 Fitment with my OEM or T1R B Pipes

I have been having the same noise it's a nasty metal on metal vibration noise that happens after the running the car hard then letting the rpms fall to somewhere around 3400 rpms. For the longest time I thought it was my cusco cf rear strut tower brace and figured out today it was my spoon n1. What's happening is the right hanger of the spoon n1 is coming in contact with the metal bar that is near the rubber hanger on the chassis. It been rubbing it so bad it took the paint of the metal piece on the chassis. I wedged something between the two now for a ghetto rig and have not yet heard the noise. Hope this helps.

I have a question, does the apexi n1 bpipe have a resonator in place? Do you happen to know the size of it?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yes. It has a resonator, but I don't know what size, I can take pictures and measure for you if you're really interested...
