Wassup guys i was driving around tonite.. and when i was shifting ... the gauges flicker... so does the head lights... and when i turned on my high beams my system turns off like it loses power then turns back on...

any one knows whatz up wit this?

 

try ohming it out with a multimeter, it should read around 12v. if you don't have a multimeter just disconnect one of your battery wire, if your car dies then it's your alternator.

go to a kragen or pep boys, they test that stuff for free. all you do is take a guage and put it on your battery. if the alternator is working correctly your battery should be carrying a 14v charge.
