How do I ship front and rear brake/knuckle/trailing arm assembly & how much would it cost?
I have never shipped a brake/knuckle/trailing arm assembly before. How do I package it? I especially don't know how to accomodate the trailing arms. How much would it cost to ship this stuff via UPS from CA to GA? Does anybody know if Mail Boxes Etc. or Staples would be able to package such a big item for me because I don't think I have such big boxes laying around my house?
prolly better to ask this in the general forum...
i had just front knuckles shipped from AZ to NY and the best i found was fed ex for 35 bux... the guy just packed the crap out of the box with newspaper... all was good. if you are shippin all for corners.. its gunna be heavy aka pricey

Anybody know much it would cost to ship an entire set? And who can package and ship these for a good price?
For just the box and packaging can run you well over $20 if you have mail boxes etc pack for you. What I do for large items is just grab a left over box from Home Depot, fill it up with foam, newspapers, and bubble wrap.
Brakes are way too heavy to put in a box. Mine weighed 94 lbs! I don't think a box could hold that much. I work at home depot so I just took a small pallet and banded the trailing arms to the pallet then shrinkwrapped it to the pallet. Try going to your local home depot or other hardware/building materials store and see if they will give you a pallet. We usually throw away the small pallets anyway. I just shipped a set of rear disc brakes from New Orleans, LA to NJ fed ex ground and it cost $49.26.
