I have one question that has been really bothering me. Is a dohc engine really ALOT better than a sohc? I mean if two engines had the same hp and torque, lets say, in the same car, and they raced, would the dohc necessarily win? To replace a sohc engine with a dohc, is it really worth the money?

 

on a doch engine, you can separately tune the exhaust and intake sides separately. and i think it basically has more potenial to go faster thana sohc motor.
