code 45? related to o2??

code 45? related to o2??
im helping out a friend with a problem on his 96 dc2 gsr and i checked code on it. it spits out a code 45. i know that it means malfunction in fuel monitoring system. The thing is he was doing something to his exhaust and the pins got pulled out of the o2 plug. he just pushed them back in not knowing where they go so i was wondering if that could cause the code 45... let me know if you guys can help. thanks...

rite on, i did it already and it through a code 41 so i guess the o2 was already fried, i changed the o2 and its all coo now. thanks again... late
