Just came home from track with my MPFI CRX DX
it was about 80 degrees outside....my crx dx is all stock with just the MPFI conversion. Hit a 16.351@83mph with a sorry *** 2.4 60'....i would have managed a 16.1 or something if my 60' went down....i have some sorry *** 13" stock steelies on some sorry *** all season rubber. anyone have some advice on launching the rex?? btw, i lowered my tire to 25 psi and it helped a little, but not too much....
well i guess u know good tires would help, but i lowered my tires all the way down to 14PSI, they closed the tire station before i could put air back in, so i drove home like that and nothing happened really, try a lower PSI and feather the clutch alittle, even tho i think its hard to do on cable clutch cars.
well....i revved to about 4K and just dropped it....it would hop a little, but not a lot. the track was stickier than before and i thought dropping the clutch would work but it didn't....didn't get the try to feather because i only had 3 runs...if i could bring that 60' time down to like a 2.2 or lower, i would have managed a 16.1 or somewhere around that time....pretty impressive for just a stock MPFI DX. i can seriously feel the car pull in 2nd and 3rd way more than before and now when i shift quickly from 1st to 2nd, it chirps way more than before so im happy with my $150 invested....agp
