I say you go with a sleeper exhaust, something quiet..I doubt you will want to deal with the cops since you're in Ca.

uh. Spoon N1 not that apexi junk.

You could get the Spoon N1 axle back from Mike @ IPS for under $400, but you'll be pushing close. Maybe if you're lucky you could get the T1R B-pipe and Spoon N1 setup for 400 and some change.

Depending on the money you want to spend, I would suggest the Tanabe Hyper Medallion, Apexi WS, and the comptech ss catback. All have similar looking mufflers and are a quality piece. They will last and not sound like a cann of bees. Also, I think they give the car a cleaner look. Good Luck, check out ebay, you can find some good deals on used exhausts on there.

fyi, apexi ws goes for as low as 350, apexi dunk goes as low as 300. Full cat, brand new. That's what I've been offered when I was looking for an exhaust. I end up spending 175 for an used greddy sp

how come the Apex'i ws is not a straight through like a lotta the other ones? is that a disadvantage or an advantage? what's the exhaust system that would be the next in line after an Apex' WS, costwise i guess. Thanks for ur help

WS is 2.25". I would consider a Greddy Evo if I were in your shoes. It's not very loud - and looks pretty good.

World Sport is a great exhaust if quietness is something you want.

Apexi WS and Greddy SP are gonna be your most quiet aftermarket cat-back exhuasts that will still give you some power gain... I vote SP cause I used to have one, but I have heard the WS on Civics, and it's also very quiet... Both are good ways to go...

Custom Mendel-bent piping = Great power with almost stock-level noise.

well i know i don't want an exhaust that is too quiet...i want it to be loud enough that i can hear it and that if someone heard it for instance, they know its not a stock exhaust. If that exhaust from Magnaflow is also for a 2001 LS then i wll probably get that...my bro had a magnaflow on his rsx it sounded nice, but it was way too big...5" tip but the integras are 4". and he got it for $350 shipped too...so hopefully i can get a deal like that.

well it shouldnt be that quiet...it should have a deep tone and sound..very clean...like a Mugen Exhaust! ask people what they think of the Mugen Exhaust! im sure everyone will love it! ..as for the N1, only some people like it. honestly, i think it sounds like (_x_) ..butt thats just me....

Skunk2 if your willing to spend a little more than $400. N1 sounds like a tin can compared to the skunk2

if you want something quiet i would go with either Greddy SP or Apex WS, and that would be in your price range also. it all depends on your setup and what you want in the long run. if youre going to go high performance then i would get something custom. http://www.accordinglydone.com...id=38 << good place to get some mandrel bent piping w/ hardware for a good price. hope that helps.
