OT: Guess what arrived at the dealer?
2004 WRX STi. Pence, the dealer in my area, Richmond, VA, got in 2 blue ones one with silver the other with gold wheels. The car is really menacing in person. They came in last night across the area, most dealers getting 2 that i know of.

It really does seem like it's going to be amazing car for 32k. Can't wait to see one at the Pro event autocross this weekend

I thought you just bought your R recently??? Nothing wrong with having both in the garage though
The Evo is the closest thing to the R in terms of handling and steering. It has a more crisp feel according to numerous reviews that I've read. Oh well, I'd rather be driving a Subaru. The interior on the Subaru is much better than the Mitsu's in my opinion (which gives the Evo something else closely related to the R, as our interiors aren't much in terms of the quality of materials used). Its not like most of us care though.

I've seen the silver one launching... spins all 4 on wet pavement with ease, lol. Then it hunkers down and pulls HARD. Surprisingly quiet at full scream.

Meh, in the area I live in I'm almost 95% positive I can get as much/more than I paid for the R selling it to some kid who lives in a 3 story house on a golf course or something

Damn spoiled children. I've been tossing around the thought of selling mine as well. The theft factor has become too great where I'm at. I feel like MacGyver as I try to disassemble the entire car with the set of keys I carry around just to make it harder to steal

I got the idea for selling it at a profit when last night I was filling up the R when a kid in a '00+ M3 (I don't know the years/body styles) came up to me and was like "HEY MAN NICE CAR!!!! My dad bought me this shitty BMW, I wish I had an R."
I was rolling my eyes pretty hard on the way home

Its sad when kids never appreciate what their parents bought them.
There's a car club at UVA, and alot of the members have $30-$40K cars, and they regularly 'drive the tw1steyz' and often nearly stuff their cars in trees (a few have) but never learn anything from it. One kid bent a wheel and his front lip on his brand new Evo8. I know that if i paid for anything like that i'd make damn sure to take care of it.

Well what bothers me the most about kids who have nice cars care of their parents is that once you have something like that, what do you have to work for? I used to drive my mom's Hyundai Elantra in school when she let me... which gave me the drive to work harder towards buying my own, better car. If you already have your own better car that is WAY better than you can afford by your own means ANYTIME soon, what drive do you have to succeed or achieve anything more than what is given to you?
