Default Turning off Maint. Req. light on 2002 Si

Just cause I'm lazy and don't want to walk out to my car and get my owners manual . . . does anyone know how to turn off the maintenance required light on a 2002 Civic Si?

Well you can always try the technique that the rsx owner use. Turn the car off and hold the odometer stick. As you turn the ignition on keep the odometer stick held down untill the maint. req'd light stop blinking and goes away. Hope it works.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm sorry, the amount of laziness verified is incredibly hilarious. You're gonna have to go out to the car anyway to turn it off where you'll be 2 feet from the manual anyways. It's funny... because I know there are a good # of people who don't even know the answer is in the manual and yet you do.

EDIT: Not a flame, I'm just laughing at your ***.

I am glad you find my laziness funny. Its actually funnier than that. I knew that in the owners manual it would say how to shut it off but I also know owners manuals are notoriously hard to find what you're looking for. After reading f1nal zeros reply I got off my *** and went out to my car and tried it but it did not work so I spent about 10 minutes searching through the owners manual to find out how to do it. It turns out you have to hold the button down for ten seconds and apparently I had held it down for only 9 . . .
