86-87 (pg6b) d16a1 pistons?
Has anyone used them in a d16z6? how does it compare to a d16z6 with 88-89 a1 pistons? The p29 piston setup is too high of a CR for me. I want something that has high compression but not that high........

the p29 pistons would give you about 12.03:1
where the pg6b pistons would give you 11.67:1
p29 with a d16a6 headgasket = 11.66:1
the pg6b pistons have almost no valve reliefs cut in them and they have no piston to deck clearance...were the p29 has good size valve reliefs and sit down 0.040" in the block. you would more then likely have valve to piston problems with the pg6b. i would use a thicker head gasket...plus the quench would be way better just looking at the p29 vs the pg6b flat tops. seach "psiton project" in the archives if you want to see pics of both pistons.
