Stage 2 crower or crane. springs required??????
Crowers cams claim that there stage 2 cams for an LS requires the use of stiffer springs. But on the other hand Crane says that your fine with your stock springs? Who's right? Anybody running these cams without valvtrain upgrades?
Crane and crower do havedifferent specs however.
Crane: Advertised duration: 232/250
Duration @ .050: 206/212
Gross Lift: .400/.388
Crower: Advertised Duration: 243/246
Duration @ .050: 2121/210
Gross lift: .423/ .409
Crower has a little more ummph but is it safe to use the stock valve train, and if I did what possible horrors could happen. Thanks

if your talking about the 403's then stock is fine, that's what I'm running and everybody that I know that has those cams is running stock as well, as long as you don't change your redline.
