Default Race seat in rear?

I am in the process of putting together a turbo and getting ready to install a custom stereo in my trunk. I am going to put two race seats up front, but in order to install the custom stereo I need to take my rear seats out.

I have no problem taking them out, but I need at least room for three people in my car so I thought about installing a race seat in the rear and build my custom box around it. Has anyone ever installed a race seat in the rear of their two door teg?

I have a feeling it's not going to work b/c of height, but I wanted to check w/ everyone here. My other thought was to take one of my front seats that I'm replacing and remove the headrest and have it recovered in black suede to match my race seats.

What are everyone's opinions on this working. I don't want to hear whether or not you like the idea, but if it will work. I don't need ******** telling me it's not JDM, or that a custom box is too heavy. When I start pushing 350 whp I am not going to have to worry about weight.

Thanks in advance.

One of the smaller racing seats like this bolted directly to the floor might work?

i know the bottom of the rear seat is one big piece but could you try and cut it so it becomes two and make the rear seats into just one seat? sorry if i confused you but if you were gonna wrap it anyways you could just do that and then get it wrapped would look better imo. good luck

yeah, that's not a bad idea....I'm going to have to look at it after work to see if it's possible or if it will look good

thanks
