OBDII engine in OBD1 car ANSWERS for people!!
Ok because I was desperately searching for information about putting a 96 manual LS engine in a 94 auto LS car and almost no one could or would help, I thought that I would help by posting my results for others that may be questioning what needs to be done.
Basically the motor goes right in and plugs right up. The people that did answer my questions, thought that I needed to use the OBD1 dist., alternator and possibly injectors. This IS NOT TRUE. Basically you just leave the OBD2 engine harness on the engine and DON"T MODIFY ANYTHING. Then just plug it right into the OBD1 chassis harness and use the OBD1 ecu. The only thing you could do is get a OBD1 manual ecu or modify the OBD1 auto ecu and have it chipped, but even this is not neccesary as my car is running with the auto ecu right now.
Any other questions feel free to ask. I am by no means an expert, but since I just did this swap I might be able to answer some questions.
The only thing I don't know is whether this is the same for a obd2 b18c motor into a obd1 car. If anyone has the answer to that question let me know as that may be my next project.

ive done plenty of obd2 into obd1 cars, the only difference is there is one plug left over on the harness, just leave the obd2 harness on the motor, it all bolts and connects right in...
Well I wish you had responded to any of my other posts!!! I've been trying to get a straight answer for months!!! Thanks anyhow though.

what happens to the 2nd o2 sensor? am I suppose to have it? what happens if I don't ? (obd2 ecu)

so did you swap a 96 ls engine and manual transmission into a 94 ls car that came with an automatic transmission? or did you just swap a 96 ls engine into a 94 ls car?
I put a 96 ls manual engine and tranny in an auto 94 ls car.
The second oxygen sensor is no longer needed so just unplug it and tie the wire up.
