I got OWNED: Lift Throttle Oversteer
Wet conditions, going a little too fast in gradual turn down-hill that is a slight u curver similar to this shape, (
1/2 way through the turn, my car felt really stable, but then as I got past that 1/2 point, I felt the rear end to slide a bit, and then 0.001 seconds later, I the car oversteered and I found myself looking against traffic. Luckily the car that was behind me was quite a few lengths behind me and could avoid hitting me.
I didn't let off the gas, nor did I brake when I felt the rear end come out, so what did I do wrong? I tried to correct it, but obviously it didn't do anything and I did a 180 degree turn.
Luckily I didn't hit anything or damage my car, but it scared the **** out of me. The car stalled and I got the hell out of there really quickly to avoid any oncoming cars.

I did the same thing, Turns out there was a nail in my rear passenger tire. The tire held it's shape due to it's stiff sidewall, but there was hardly any pressure in it. Dam those Nitto 450's!

Good question, I do not even know the answer myself, perhaps the conditions were pretty bad I could not have done anything. I thought it was pretty odd that it slide and spun like that.
Yeah my name should be changed.

I usually ride it out if that happens.
I corrected once (snapped the wheel VERY fast) and got some grip.
If you feel it happening give it gas (this is important). Put on the brakes you will slide more.

the best thing to do in this situation is yank the E brake!!!
J/K
Best thing to do in this situation (I've been it many times) is to give it throttle to help bring the back into check...if not...ride it out and pray you don't hit anything.

I've been in that situation MANY MANY MANY TIMES.. when you enter a corner too quickly ur backend is coming out.. and unless you "blip" the throttle its going to continue to come around.. (then again I'm on stock suspension right now) .. i was hoping it wouldn't handle like that w/ some better suspension..
Rear end comes around first in the rain for my car.. (handles diff in dry weather.. all 4 tires same time)..
Final Statement: "You cannot predict what ur car is going to do in wet weather.. some puddles are bigger than others"

i got owned one time and unfortunatley i spun out and crashed....and i did blip the gas and i didnt use the brakes. the back end broke out to the right and i corrected it by turning the wheel right (into the skid) and tappin the gas.....i then did a 180 and hit the curb...damn stock suspension, tires and 14" steelies.

There you go. That combination going downhill on curved, slippery surface will pull the ***-end of your car out.

How the heck did you do all that? Your name is understeer! J/k, i think its funny how you got owned by oversteer but your name is understeer. Glad you're alright.
