okay the car shuts off at stand stills. i don't suck at driving. i can have the car in neutral at a stop and my foot only on the brake and it will stall.
the rpms seem to drop below zero and continue to sometimes until the car shuts off.

well is this a recent issue? you might want to try reseting you ecu, or chek you air filter and or fuel filter. i had a dirty fuel filter once that was ******* with my idle and bogging up top, fuel filter is supposed to be replaced ever 10k or is it 30k? but if all else fails ajust your idle screw.

okay it's a idling problem. not gas or the air conditioner.
to add to my problem discription: the car will also begin to lose power steering control at extremly slow speeds. (i almost wrecked pulling out of a driveway b/c my car shut off one time as i was turning onto the road, but i have also experienced it being harder to turn because it was the power steering was going out) this is due to the rpms dropping to about zero. (of course zero would mean the engine is not on)
seriously need help asap. it's almost the weekend and memorial day is going to have shops closed monday.

There's an idle adjustment screw that you can use to raise/lower you idle rpms. If it's just cutting off, because the idle is set too low, then I'd start there... don't just go BUYING stuff untill you've solved the problem. Try to narrow the cause down a little... anyway, HTH.

yeah i have about the same idle when i start my car. but after it warms up it starts to do all that crazy stuff. i think i'll try to adjust the idle though. if that works then i'm guessing my car will idle very high before it's warmed up.
