Default Dash removal

My cousin is going to remove his dash on his 96 accord ex, what needs to be done to take it off? Anyone have directions? Thanks

i'd suggust getting a manual for it...
i got a haynes manual for my 90 and tells me everything i need to know
its basically pop off caps taht cover the screws then just unscrew and pull

how do you remove the passenger airbag lid to get the dash off?

You can't take off just the lid. You'll have to take off the entire airbag. Remove the glovebox. You'll need a long extension and I think it was a 10mm socket. Thats the only way to access the nuts holding down the airbag.

As for taking out the dash, I took off the center console first, took out the guage cluster, took out the screws hidden underneath the corner dash vents, took out the airbag and a few more misc screws and thats it.

the manual doesn't tell you how to take it out,
Pain in the ***, you have to take the cluster out, pass airbag,all switches

Thieves helped me remove my dashboard, they also helped me not have a crappy Pioneer tape deck anymore. Presumably they did the job with a crowbar. I would highly suggest following the instructions from a manual as opposed to taking the route the thieves did with mine.
