What size slicks?
D16, 100-125 shot of nitrous. I was thinking 22x8x13, maybe?
I am hoping for high 12's on slicks in a 2600lbs coupe, is it possible?

I say try the new 23x8x15 M&H. Almost stock diameter to keep you gearing in check. I don't think you are ready or have the power for the 24.5 just yet. It those or go with the 22's
Thanks, I didn't realize you exploded trannies with your D15.
Bone, I want you to think back to when you first learned Honda trannies. Would installing a Quaife be something I could teach myself with a Helms? I have never cracked open a tranny.

Damn, I've made probably 30 passes on slicks over the last 2 years 22x8x15's with an open diff, never thought about the chance of splitting my case, guess I better keep an eye out.

Now see, how does this happen? Bone, how come he didn't break trannies like you? I want to make some passes with my new motor, but $895 for a Quaife is steep.

Go w/ a 22" if you want to bring your gears a lil closer together. 250whp-22" is probably perfect.
those 23" M&H's are a nice option too. Last year M&H had the reputation for being the best slick in under 24", havn't heard much recently about them though.

power vs. traction.........
Weak D15 and sticky slicks, no tire slippage. The tires just like a clutch MUST slip a little.
Also the 22x8x15's don't hook very well, In fact, it is my opinon the 20x8x14's hook BETTER!
$810 shipped for the Quaife, list right here on HT.

Yeah, havin problems hookin right now w/ the 22x8x15's, building to much boost on the 2 step when launching, need more sidewall I think. Last year though I pulled 1.8 60 fts. several times at the track (w/ no 2 step). That tire size will hook, just depends how much low end you have.
