Looking to an OEM Acura security system for the R. Any short comings. What are the specs on it?

shortcomings, no shock sensor.
has door hood and trunk sensors.
decent alarm(basically made by alpine)
keyless entry and passive arming.

if u get it for under 300 bucks it might be worth it.
otherwise get something else.

$300 US or roughly $450 Canadian is a good deal? IS that the price the dealer would charge or is that their cost?

Don't sleep @ nights with the Factory alarm.

 

OEM alarm is peiece of ****. get a clifford.

 

Get the Aladdin2000 system. Its got a little keychain LCD fob u carry w/ u and it alerts u on the alarm status..it also tells u the cabin temperature, has remote start, it tells where the car is being broken into if it is (window, door, etc)..so you can be working or something and if it goes off u can run to ur car and beat the crap out of the bastards messing with ur car. Sigh if i hadn't already bought an alarm, i'd get that...dammit

oh...well i guess im sorta glad I dont have it then. Altho that pager idea is a really good thing to have tho. Cuz its not like uc an hear ur alarm if ur in the mall watching a movie or something. Oh well
