someone pulled out in front of my phoenix yellow ls/vtec DC2 early saturday morning, i just got the insurance quote from the damage, i was hit in the front right side, the car is not totalled, the quote came out to be a little over 5 grand in damage and repairs, my car just broke 100,000 miles to, the question is: Should i continue to pursue my dream of modifying my teg, or try to sell it and start ALL OVER AGAIN
any comments would be helpful seeing as i know ya'll have had these things happen before.
p.s. the accident was not my fault, it was the other drive that pulled out in front of me.

sue the pants off the person that pulled out in front of you, take as much money as you can, and put that dough into your Teg. I wish i would've done that when I was rearended....it sucks being a nice person.

put yourself in the other persons shoe.
I dont think you would be to happy about that.
sk8phaze just get compensation for the damage done to your car and your body (if you were injured at all).
I dont believe in raping people for their money

What if you got into an accident and clearly the other person was at fault and yet he denied everything? In other words, lied his *** off to the cops and have the guts to say I was at fault? Right after the accident, he got out of the car, didn't say ****! Didn't ask me if I was alright, didn't say sorry, NOTHING.
My car was totalled and was carless for 4 months and had to see a doctor about my neck and back. I lost 3 grand during this process despite the money I got for my totalled car. Bottom line, let him sue if he wants and was not at fault. Afterall, he caused him unneccessary harm. (Btw, I didn't sue because I'm such a nice person. I regret it every single day now)

think about the way our entire country is going with all this sue happy bullshit...its terrible, get the money to repair ur car and any injuries, then leave it at that...people make mistakes, dont make that ruin their lives, i dont think i could really be happy with someone elses hardearned money, thats just me
Well I'll give my .02 cents on what you should do with the car and let everyone else just bicker back and forth about stupid, mindless stuff.
Is the frame bent? bent badly? any engine damage that maybe unrepairable? Your car will have a history that is has been in an accident so selling it down the road (or now) you wont get as much for it. However, if they insurance company is giving you $5000, how much do you think you can sell the damaged car for? Add that up and figure out can you get a good car for that?
Obviously it's a tough choice. If it was me I would keep it but I'm still in love with my car so I wouldn't let it go, although I'm sure there will be a time when I want a change, do you want a change?

i've spent over $2000 in aftermarket ****!
ok, well now im looking at a RSX or GSR, any opinions?

why don't you see how much you can buy back the totalled integra for? they should let you buy it back for a very low price. then you can take out all the good stuff (engine, suspension, seats, etc), and sell off the body panels that are still good (rear end, doors, etc). then you could either get another integra that was stripped or a civic and make a hybrid.

ive had the misfortune of having to deal with this twice in the last six months! the first time it was just the fender, but right now im in the middle of dealing with a wrecked front end. (stupid lady...) since youve already invested $2000 into aftermarket whatever, i would have it repaired. their insurance should take care of it. if you decide to total it, youre out that 2 grand.
