Default Crx suspension question...

There was a post on here about Accord shocks on a Crx . And they said that handle was great. I was looking for that post and couldnt find it. But what yr was the accord shocks? If no one remembers that post. Will an 82-85 accord shocks fit on a 88-91 crx? THanks in advance.

it was an 89 acord shock..

I just installed ome bilstiens, and I asked if there were any advangates to doing this and after the tech took some measurements, he called back and told me there were no advantages on using the accord shocks..

I think the post was "BEST MOD EVER" or something like that. And the person put 89 accord bilstein struts in and said he gained about 1-2 inches of travel or something like that. Sounds like a good mod to me, im planning on doing it later this summer.

did the tech not concur that you would gain extra shock travel, or did he not look/realize? or, is nothing gained? just curious.

He measured the shock bodies, and they were the same length..
so there would be no gain in travel..

I may be mis-remembering but I thought that in the original thread it mentioned the mounting point for the damper fork being higher up the shock body. If you have coil overs this would allow you to adjust them "higher" and still retain the same ride height.

I didn't look for the thread... this is just from memory so maybe I'm wrong...
