my car makes a rattling sound when i give it gas
my car makes a rattling sound when i give it gas, it seems that when i go past 4,000 rpm the rattling goes away though. the rattling is between my exaust manifold and my exaust pipe i cant tell where it is exactly though! it seems like it is between my exaust manifold and my exaust. i have a b16a1 and lsd tranny i have aslo a catback exaust and mandrell bend exaust. please help me where could this sound be coming from? any help would be appreciated!!! thanx you guys!!!
Sounds like heatshields. Get under there & hit 'em with your fist, see which ones are loose.
I don't know if your A-pipe is double-wall or not. That's another possibility, if there's no loose heatshields on the outside.

check the heat shields around the cat, i had the same problem! it always used to do it, when people where looking at you drive by!
I would first check to see if it's Detonation!!!!!! Dont make it do that anymore and retard your timing. What kind of vehicle???
