Default USDM R seats bolt into a G5 Lude?

I'm considering some JDM Recaros, and a friend would like to take my seats off my hands. He has a G5 97 Lude, and I was wondering if anyone knew off hand, if they are a direct bolt in, or if we would need to swap brackets or something strange like that.

Also, will the belt sensor plug just plug in or will we have to get new ones to match?.

If you can sell your seats, more power to you, but apart from looking better, they are not superior to the 'Lude seats. The Prelude seats are in fact more supportive, especially in the area around your rib cage. ITR seats, aside from the cool fabric, are just GS-R (luxury) seats with a softer bottom cushion.

A little more bolster on the R seat sides too. This guy has a red base model, with black cloth seats, so they will look pretty good. My car is in the shop, so I can't swap real quick and check. They LOOK the same, but that doesn't mean they are. My R seats were more firm than my GSR seats.

It may be true that the R seats are firmer even though they are shaped the same as the GS-R seats. But the Lude seats actually have bigger bolsters on the sides - it is a matter of shape, not of harder foam. I sat in my friend's Lude and it felt a lot more huggy around my ribs.

The 4th gen prelude seats were awesome, but I think the ITR's seats are better than the 5th gen. Matter of preference I guess. I had a 92 Prelude Si and I wish they would have just used those seats in the R with a different fabric.

I agree, Ive owned both cars and I think the ITR seats are considerably more supportive than the Gen5 Prelude seats. They have more side support, also the seude (sp?) keeps you from sliding around as much! As buddy of mine thats has a Lude just the other day remarked on how much better he liked the R seats than his Prelude seats.

The 4th Gen Lude seats are better than both, IMO, tho.
