only way i kno of mountin it would be the oem way.. .with the included hardware... perhaps you can get special bolts or screws in place of the included ones if you feel that you need them, but i live in a ghetto area too, but wouldnt worrie about them jackin the front lip. Thats teh extent to what i cna think of...

or perhaps you can ad a zip tie somewhere along the bottom as added protection.. but i they got scissors ur screwed hahah...
