Default Hello everyone

Hi everyone just wanted to say hello... I haven't been on for awhile... blame it on the 50+ hour work week... welcome to America right. I hope everyone is staying safe and taking care of their cars. Anything new for anyone? I just recently gutted out my catalytic for a better flow.

hi, your website says "Skunk2 Exhaust Manifold" do you mean intake (and is it on yet?)? or do you have some top secret skunk2 header...

Shhhhh... hehe no, actually I guess it's a typo, thanks. I actually haven't installed it yet. I want to do a dyno without it to see what the difference would be. I was told that if I upgrade my manifold I should port out my TB to match my headwork.

that's the time to get a bored-out throttle body (if you don't already have one) and as everyone will tell you, you must have the opening on the intake manifold bored out to match or else it's a waste. a tip: make sure they also enlarge the opening on the TB gasket!!! have you been dyno'd or where will you go?

Thanks for the tip. I have yet to dyno it. I will probably dyno it at Dynospot i'm just trying to save up for the TB and the VAFC first.

(i figured you might go to group-a since they're in hayward)
dynosport: hey, wow! never heard of these guys...what do you know about them?
wee at motorsport techniques is so backed up, i'm having trouble getting my car in there. any idea if dynosport could pull my head and replace valves? have you heard anything about them? looks like they're primarily a euro shop but they sponsor 1 or 2 ITR's. these guys are like 10 minutes away vs. 30-40 for hayward. this is important since i'm on 2 or 3 cylinders! (seriously!)

My friend and I got our cars dyno tuned at DynoSpot a couple months back. The owner, Dick Chiang, is really cool and the Honda tuner, Lawrence Tse, is also very knowledgable. They are a bit more expensive (about $185/hr) but they are well worth the money, IMO. Go check out their shop or give them a call and ask a few questions. They do lag on returning emails so call or visit them. They tuned my gears, fuel and VAFC in about an hour.

We had a group dyno day there a couple times as well.

And BTW, Hi Carla!

Hey Gary, Thank You for summing up Dynospot for me since I haven't been formally introduced to the place yet. Lawrence did seem very knowledgeable when I spoke to him on the phone. I don't know why I don't go to skunkworks? I guess i'll have to give Tony a call and see what their rates are.

GSRxBOOST: Thanks

yeah, thanks everyone. i'm not sure how i would feel about them tearing apart my whole engine and probably can't afford them for a job that might take 2-3 days. yeah, $185 sounds high because i would guess the average is around $100 but that's where i'd go if(when) i get my hondata stage 3! fullthrottleshifting baby!!

Hehe, hi Carla. You that bored, huh? I guess I'm doing okay. I don't post as much either; seems like I have so many other things to take care of right now, and I've run out of $$ to do things to my car anyways, so I haven't paid much attention to it in awhile. I've opted to start saving up for my next car...
Hmm, I guess that means I have to get a job first.

I used to get mixed up between Integ_Grl (Marsha) and InteGRL (Carla)! And it's funny because they both are in the bay area I know both of them! Pretty cool!

well, i have definatly been better guys. I will try and keep it short. Working way hard with too jobs trying to save money for the school year so i might not have to work as hard.....well at least i was. 4th of July, living here in Myrtle beach everyone spends the day in or around the water. SO i was at my friends house who lives on the creek with my girl and we were all jumping off the dock having fun in the water. Well, i decide it would be fun to stand up on the railing and jump. Bad idea! I jump in (feet first for safety of course) and hit the bottom hard. For those that arnt familar with the coastal area and the marshes the bottoms are mostly muddy and sandy but there are patches of oysters in some spots. Well, i happen to land one a nice patch of razor sharp ones. The bottom and side of my left foot looks like it spent about 10 seconds in a blender. It is torn all to hell. I could barely swim back to the dock with a bleeding foot aginst the current. I have a few guys pull me out of the water and on to the bottom floating dock where there boats are attached. My foot is sliced wide open on the side and bottom, bleeding like hell. So they bandage it up and my girl has to drive me to the ER right away cause its nasty. WEll, of course we are pimpin the Teg and she cant drive it so we have to borrow a car and finally get there about 20 minutes later. Im there for about 3 hours getting cleaned out and stitched up. So 11 shots and 27 stitches later we are on our way, just getting back in time to see the fireworks but im kinda .....well very messed up on vicodan that the gave me for pain but i instisted that we return to see them.

So now im out of work, cant walk with out crutches, and sure cant push a clutch. Now i have swapped cars with my girl for her expedition, so the Teg sits and she drive her moms car around some.

So i just wanted to give my girl some major props for helping me through all that.....man, what a way to spend an anniversary.

So you really haven't been doing anything, eh? J/K! Hope you recover quickly! Were you laid off because of the injury? Can your work do that? Is it legal?

Props to your girl for her big time support!
