Default help, 5th gear slipped out for no reason

my 5th gear slipped out on me twice yesterday for no reason. i was driving normal on the highway, i had my foot on the gas and then it just slipped out. i wasn't doing anything abnormal. anyone know what might had caused this.

bye bye lock mesh on syncro ... cheaper sometimes to buy another tranny or maybe nows the time to buy a used GSR gearset and use everything from 5th

could this aslo be due to low tranny fluid or the bolts that hold the spring and steel ball in the tranny

I suppose it could; why do you ask about the spring & ball? Did you dismantle some of that stuff? That stuff is external, it's easy to check or fix. More likely its an internal problem, but you may as well cross your fingers & check the easy stuff first.
