FS: h23a1 from 92 Prelude Si
Exactly what the topic says:
1992 Prelude Si h23a1
92,xxx miles
*** I would prefer not to part this out. I will, only if I get enough people to buy most of the parts like block, rods, pistons, crank, head, the main things.***
BLOCK -- pistons, rods, crank, all bearings, oil pump, counter balance shafts etc....complete block essentially. Pistons were cleaned with a Scotch pad and degreaser to remove a lot of carbon.
HEAD-- complete head, valves, springs, cams etc. I recently repainted the valve cover with black 400 degree wrinkle paint, which looks awesome.
ACCESSORIES -- i sandblasted, primed, and then repainted the two mounting brackets for the power steering pump and the alternator with 500 degree silver-aluminum paint. Alternator and P/S pump is provided. Wirering Harness can be provided, but part of it was cut during the removal, and is not currently connect to the engine.
ECU -- P14 is provided. OBDI 5 speed.
INTAKE MANIFOLD -- provided
Recently, it has been completely torn down for inspection. I also had the bare block and head tanked to remove carbon deposits. It looks very nice. During the tear down, I inspected the main and rod bearings, and all of them were in excellent condition. However, others can agree to this, a lot of h23's have been known to spin main bearings, so I would recommend replacing those, just to be safe.
In addition, when this motor was pulled, it smoked slightly at start up. It was diagnosed as needing new piston rings, but it still ran strong.
I will get pictures up ASAP.
If possible, I would recommend shipping this to a business address. You'll save A LOT of money.

Cams are absolutely gorgeous, not a nick anywhere.
Notice the brackets that have been sandblasted, primed and repainted. In this picture, the block had not yet been tanked.
This picture is when I first recieved the engine. It is much, much cleaner now as you can see from the pictures above. I still have those blue Nology wires if you want them.

block is reassembled and torqued to specs, except the main pully. I don't have a torque wrench strong enough to torque it down.
