The motor, ecu and tranny are $5800 on Hmotorsonline.com. Do they even make the kit for a k20 drop in, I haven't heard any word on it and I would imagine that it wouldn't just be a simple drop in. If money was no object, pioneering this motor would be fun, but the time and money you have to spend on it would be better spent on the tried and true method of B-Series.

The engine turns the opposite way so it would be mounted in bakwards. Everything would have to be fabbed, motor mountd, tranny mounts, etc... Unless some one has too much time and money I think it would be pointless to try.

Dr. Charles from area 51 who has the K20 in his EK putting down 196 to the wheels ran a 13.2 on street tires with full interior. and it was his first and only run ever
so figure 2400-2500 in an EK and grab a CRX HF which weighs like 1700-1800

i think given slicks your into the low 12's all day long. maybe even high 11's, but the best part is that you don't have to worry about reliability because you have a stock motor with nothing done to it yea you spend about 12000 bucks for the whole swap but guess what you show me a car you can get for 13000 bucks that can run low 12's with no motor work and be a daily driver.
geez imagine just the bolt ons and hondata.....that gets you about 240 tot eh wheels. HAHAH the possibilities are endless.
i might do and have the crx as my only car but we will have to see if i can find anyone that can actually do the swap.
and 11 second daily driver on pump gas woudln't bother me at all

Your trading motor work for custom built mounts, axles, shift linkage hydro to cable and probably more. Given the weight of even a full interior crx 91 SI, I very much doubt you will ever want the car to be a daily driving 11 seconds. Imagine having to constantly feather the clutch in 3rd gear just not to spin your wheels in the rain from a stop. Snap one of those nice custom built axles and then what?
