Default RSX-S - my impression

I really like this car. I would say it handles very close to a current stock R, and is nearly or just as quick as an R. (I bounced off the rev limiter at least once ) You can really feel that the chassis is much stiffer than the G3. It pulls hard and the shifting is very nice, even with FOUR people in the car. I like the short throw of both the clutch and the tranny. The gear shift feels kind of high, but the throws are very short, like an S2000. I'm not too crazy about the dash, especially the air vents, but build quality seems excellent. The tires are better than the old POS ones, but they are still Michellin all seasons. Braking feels very good, not quite as strong as an R, but good.

One more time: The seats are great!

Overall, I'm very impressed with this car. I want the new R to come to the states even more now.

my sister bought one and took delivery last week. I've driven it and i'm not that impressed. it feels more like a luxury car than a performance car. Steering response is sluggish, but the gearbox is nice short throws... Don't think I'll be trading in my R any time soon

It's not like I got to take it out for a day and really wring on it. I think it is not a bad car at all. You can feel the stiffness in the chassis, but it is sloppy compared to the R. Handling is not bad, but the stock tires suck and grip is poor. The suspension is not bad, and with some tweaking and lowering, it will be a decent car. With the shorter gearing and a little more torque, I still think this car is not bad. I never said I would trade in the R either...

That is what an ACURA is supposed to be...I never understood why they kept the Acura name on an integra, it is hardly luxury in any form...

I think that is why they evolved the integra and changed the name...I love the integra, always have, but it should have been a Honda all the way.
