does a final drive make you faster
currently runniung22x9 and am wondering if i got a final drive & taller slicks make me faster. I have a type r tranny want to go with 4.785 with 24.5x7
My current 60 ft is about 1.8 and mph is 114

it would improve your 1/4 times....but highway travel will sucks *** for you............you would probably be in 5th 80mph in the 4500 rpm range or something.....really hard on a engine

Well when you say final drive, I'm gonna assume you mean a higher one. Well you left very little info as far as what kinda tranny, motor, set-up car etc... Anyways if you get a higher final drive and taller slicks that will almost cancel each other out depending on what size you get, which can be good and bad.
