Setting oil pressure correctly for h22a (race motor, allmotor cams) how do you shim it ?
I'm going to be assembling my bottom-end this week-end and i'm going to install my prodrive oilpump gears (hopefully it's worthy purchase) and wanted to know what should be a good shimmed oil pressure to aim for ?
from what i've gathered it's recommended to have 10psi per 1000rpm ? the cams are known to provide power until 8000rpm or so before falling (crower stage 3's) just wanted to know what oilpressure i should be aiming for and how much a shim is equal to in psi, or how think goes to the ratio for it, so i don't under or over shim it ?
any help is SERIOUSLY appreciated! (Comments/suggestions also welcomed)

Why don't you just run it as-is and see where your at? What bearing clearances did you use on the main\rods and what oil do you plan on running?

all factory new bearins from honda, to matching crank, and block, stock specs new, oil most likely 5W-30, minaral to break in, then full syntec after a while (castrol) popular and good in canada.....
running some large cams, and extended rpm that's why....
