Can you put a trans cooler on a manual tranny?????
I know on an automatic it works off of pressure, so how can you do it on a manual tranny. I'm guessing with an inlne pump of some sort. Correct me if i'm wrong or let me know what's the correct way. Thanks
Check with real racer supply places and you'll find pumps and coolers. I think I've seen them in Pegasus or maybe Racer Supply. I've heard of people adding fittings to the drain and fill plugs in the trans and running the hoses there. The thing to watch for is making sure the lower hose and fitting cannot be knocked off. Off course excursions can get more expensive and messy that way. Unless you are running on a road course, you probably cannot stay on the power long enough to get the trans fluid really hot. For drag race or street, good fluid with shorter change intervals will work just as well for less cost and complexity. Remember, every hose and fitting is another chance for a leak!
Ive been toying with that idea also. I went to a circle jerk race car shop and checked what they have. I came up with a rear end fluid pump they use in circle cars. However, it was pretty heavy 20lb or so. The cooler wasnt that big so mounting that would probably be easy. The next question is where to put the feed line? I was thinking on top of the trans over 2nd and 3rd gears since those get abused. Or, make a drip rail to squirt the oil on 1st-4th or somrthing.
good luck and post any other ideas

Now that i think about it, Mohudsolo is right. There is probably no need for it if i'm just driving it on the street, which is where my car will be driven daily. It was just a thought.
