Cant Get Rotor OFF!!!! HELP!!!
hey whats up everyone. i'm replacing my rotors, driveshaft, and calipers for my 91 accord. i followed the Helm's Manual and now im stuck on taking the hub/rotor/bearing off the control arm. i took the 4 10mm bolts off the rear of the bearing but it wont come off. i tried pounding my rotor, pounding the bearing(yea i know stupid idea but damn i was pissed, now i need a new bearing!!!) online somewhere from Federal Mogul i found it's manual on taking off the rotors and they put 10x1.25 60mm long bolt in the bearing hole and shake it out???

anyone have any tips or tricks please??? thanks!!!

you should put some penetrant liquid get a heavy hammer like 3 lb.(not a carpenters hammer) pound it (next time don't hit the bearing) put a good adequate size metal bushing that covers the bearing area. take two screws completely out and screw the other two about five threads to keep rotor from falling on your toe(s). once its off simply take the four front bolts that hold the rotor to the bearing. its a good thing to replace the bearings anyway since the car is about 12 yrs old. (preventive maintenance) you don't want to do this later down the road. note:when you're hitting the back end install the lower control arm with lower ball joint to keep the knuckle assembly from moving outwards.
if u are removing the rotor, do remember to undo the 4 14mm bolts on the front side holding the hub onto the rotor?
if u wanna remove the bearing/hub/rotor combo off the knuckle, get a longer bolt, 10x1.25x50 or preferably 60mm long, thread it in considerably from the back and just tap each one w/ a hammer til the bearing comes off (in a criss cross pattern). Easy to get off, the hard part is getting the 4 14mm bolts holding the hub onto the rotor. Its a good time to replace the bearings, but u need to get them pressed off and on...

i hate honda for making this POS brake design!!! ok i finally got the rotor/hub/bearing off but my bearing is f a w k e d. now i need to take the hub off the rotor, then the hub off the bearing. can i do this without using a press machine??? and how would i install the whole hub/rotor/bearing back into the knuckle??? i tried to see if the new bearing would go in but it looks like im gonna have to pound it in or something. right now i have liquid wrench soaking the hub bolts. i tried earlier but nope it doesnt want to move at all. thanks!!!
anyone know of any places i can take it to if i cant get it off??? thanks!!!

buy new bearings and 98-99 acura 2.3 CL hubs and slap them together w/ acura 2.3 CL rotors, or 3.0 rotors if u wanan go big w/ bigger calipers. no more hub over rotor design. $25-30/side for the hub and you get new studs w/ them. Not a bad deal.
if you are going to reuse the bearing, you can undo the 4 bolts and I believe the rotor comes off w/o any need to press the hub off the bearing. If you want to replace the bearing you are gonna have to press or figure out soem way to hammer the bearing off.
