Default Props to VTECVillian [02 wiring, OBD-II motor into VX]

Just want to thank VTECVillian personally because I took his advice and repinned a wire and now my 02 sensor works perfectly on my VX. I did this after repinning a wrong wire from a diagram I got on the hybrid board, but now I have the right wire in.

If anyone wants, I can take pics of said wire...etc..

Sweet! That's the only thing pissing me off right now. I got a jdm b16 swap and im having trouble with the o2. I have the jdm 4 wire o2 sensor, but i used my vx harness which is wired for the 5 wire o2 with the 7 wires on the actual harness. Any way you guys could help me out pleeeaz???? thanks!!!!

Well I dont know if its the same - but on my OBD-II GSR motor I had an extra plug that was left unplugged.

The 02 wire was on that plug [orange/blue stripe] and I repinned that to the engine harness [top plug]..

Since you are using the VX harness the wiring will be different than repinning the 1 wire that I showed Navin. You will need to repin either the plug on the O2 with the plug from your VX O2 sensor or repin the VX engine harness side O2 plug with a 4 wire O2 plug.
That is necessary only if you are **** and want it to be as factory-like as possible. If not, then you could easily hard wire the correct 4 wires from the VX engine harness to the 4 wire O2. Let me look at my Helms and I'll tell you exactly which wires go where.

Awsome. Thanks a lot. Thats what i was thinking to do but i just didnt know which wires go where. It would be great if i knew what color wires on the jdm went to which color wires on the vx. I need it dumbed down like that, Im a very visual worker! LOL!

Cool,I am rewiring mine tomorrow,I think I have it figured out,but it would be nice to have some back up info.Only thing that is annoying is the B16's o2 I have doesn't have striped wires, unlike the VX's harness.

There is more than one right way to do the wiring. I try to augment any engine/cabin harness wires that I can to avoid running new ones. The 4 wire VX O2 wiring that I do is different than others I have seen on here. This is my method which I know works from previous installs. If you have any trouble let me know and I'll try and help the best I can.

Converting 1992-95 VX to 4 wire O2 using VX engine harness

All wires are present except for the power input, but all wiring can be done using the existing wires in the engine and cabin harness. The following wiring will trace the wires, color-coded, from the engine harness side of the shock tower plug to the O2 sensor you are wiring. Most all wires have color changes at each junction.

D14 - ORG/BLU at O2 plug (engine harness side) - WHT (4 wire O2 plug)
D22 - GRN/WHT at O2 plug (engine harness side) - GRN (4 wire O2 plug)
A6 - YEL/BLK at O2 plug (engine harness side) - BLK (4 wire O2 plug)

There are 2 BLK wires and either one can make either connection. The second BLK wire needs to be connected at B1 or A25. The easiest thing to do is unpin D16 (BLU/GRN) at the ECU and tap it into B1 (YEL/BLK) or A25 (YEL/BLK). Then on the engine harness side O2 connector, connect the ORG wire to the BLK O2 wire.
