Tein S. Tech Springs
I have had tein stech's on my 97 prelude for a few months, and it looks like the rear is lowered more than the front. its supposed to drop 1.4 in the back and 1.5 in the front, and i'm wondering if they installed my springs wrong?? i know they put the longer ones in the front and the shorter ones in the back, which i know is possible. the longer ones had an "F" sticker on them, but according to tein the sticker indicates nothing. i asked them if they knew if the longer ones are in the front or back, but they can't do anything unless i give them the number imprinted on the actual spring. i can't do this unless i take it apart, so does anyone have these springs???
I have the spring and installed them myself, and longer ones go in the rear. You also might notice the the longer ones are less stiff and shorter ones are stiffer. Well common sense tells anyone that the stiffer of the two would go in the front (support the engine)The "F" and the "R" imprinted on the springs does indicate the front and rear. I notice that my rear does sit lower, but I know that my work is correct so I fear nothing.
Cliff notes:
I say if the shorter ones were put in the rear and longer ones in the front your installer fucked up.
