i talked to one of my friends who works for Acura, and he told me the new RS-X ECU's are reprogrammable, like the old Chevy Power Programmer and stuff were. Which means they will be able to edit their fuel maps, and everything else. Pretty cool, just thought i would share that with everyone. Later.

 

ok i guess no one cares... I just thought it was cool, that people with Stock RSX's will be able to change their ECU settings and be already at the most 5-10 HP , and still being stock. Ok, next time i find out something cool, i will keep it to my self. Unaprecative bastads.

i don't have an RS-X either, and personally i think they are ugly. But anyways. finally some responses, i really do exist on this board.oh and thanks for the smart *** comment Jared.

 

yeah i heard this too. apparantly this ECU was locked so that before the release date of July 5th or 6th, I think it was, the dealer couldn't even drive the car around. Acura then sent them a unlocking code on the release date.

 

fyi, the RSXs were drivable on fri, jun 29 at my dealer (RWC, CA)
i snuck into their back lot and took digital photos

 

Yes, someone posted about acura being able to have the dealers update something in the ecu to fix a problem. I hope this will be good for the tuners.
