Default HID issue/ post pics of where you mounted them

Well I got a hella good deal on some McCulloch 6k HIDs. One side takes 10 -15 second before the bulb will light up, the other side starts warming up right away.

I paid $225 shipped for these so I really can't complain.
Any ideas?

Also can you post pics of where you mounted your HIDs?

Thanks Guys

Care to indulge where you ordered from?

As for mounting, put them anywhere that cant be reached from under the engine bay.

You can't really tell from a pic how 6K will look unless you have something like 4300K in the same pic side by side with the 6K to compare it to. Pics are almost always deceiving when you try to show light color at night.

As far as the issue of one side not coming on immediately, have someone turn the headlights on, and immediately try moving the wire harnesses around where it connects to your factory harness. I've been having some problems with my visualdynamics harness (one side won't come on until I touch or move the connection), but I'm still working on figuring it out. I think I have it fixed now (switched harnesses from side to side) but I'm waiting to see if the other side has the same problem. You might need to just inspect your connections or worst case replace the harness.

to adress the issue of where to locate the ballast.....on my car(01 gsr): the passenger side right next to the abs lines is a big hole if you have a cai or shorty. and the drivers side it's wedged in between the fender wall right behind the washer bottle. sorry no digi cam or i would show pics.....there was a post not too long ago showing the above described location.
Also another thing you can do is connect a relay from your battery to your light wiring harness, it will draw power from the battery but at the same time help. just don't forget to turn them off or you're s.o.l

Isn't McClloch with blue tinted bulb?

I bought my Philips Ultinon for $375. Philips ballasts, rebased Philips 6000K bulbs...it's very white with hint of purple. Not ridiculous purple like some of the brands.

For mounting, as long as it's away from excessive heat, vibration & moisture you should be fine. Mine's installed right behind head light.

are those safe like that? It's so close to the edge and some water can get on them. I mean you don't even have the ballast covered.
