Default Stolen Rims!!! :-(

I am now a member of the stolen car parts/car club. My 99 gsr rims (swirlies/blades) were stolen off my car last night here in austin, tx. My car was parked in a gated parking lot, but apparently that doesn't matter! These rims were estimated at ~400 each without tires, i called acura...this is disgusting cuz it's almost the same as a volk rim, at least the type i wanted. In addition to this, i just bought new falken azenis!!!!!! The car was left on cement blocks. I am super upset about this. *tear* I was planning on getting a jdm front end this summer, but have changed my mind. If my ******* stock looking car is targeted, i'm afraid that a modified exterior will make the situation worse. I am buyin the exact same rims and tires. The car is staying stock on the outside, so from now on, all money will be goin straight to the suspension and motor. I hope that my whole car is not stolen. I hate thieves. I am pissed!!!!!!! Anyways, just thought i'd share.

That is a pic i took of my car this past weekend...how disappointing.

sorry to see another one of these stories.... sorta tells you something about putting money on a car that's parked out in public. If i were you, i'd just fix it up to drive and leave the mods out. Save your cash.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I had my 99-00 Si wheels stolen off my hatch before so I know the feeling. They left my car sitting on cinderblocks. Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, the 99-01 GSR blades are pretty sought after by thieves. That's why I decided to sport the less-desirable 94-95 GSR 5-spoke wheels.

Edit: Funny how all the people responding to this thread are from NYC. hehe

Yeah, the rims are covered under insurance, but i do have a deductible...however it's the whole situation (theft) that really makes me mad, not that i have to pay a little money out...

if you pay the deductable do they give YOU the money for your oem wheels? or do they pay acura to replace them.

if they gave you the money for the value of oem rims, you could easily get some volks, correct?

When I had my 99-00 Si wheels stolen, I provided the insurance company with a printed invoice for replacements from Honda which was like $1200~. Minus my $500 deductible, the insurance company cut me a check for the remaining $700 which I used to get a new set of wheels.

I get $1200 for the rims, only two of the four were stolen...
I would like to get a new set of wheels (volks), but i think i'm gonna stick with an all stock exterior until i have a garage...

Thanks, but i'm gonna stick with the 99 gsr rims, even though people like to steal them. I'm just gonna leave my car stock on the outside and just start working on other stuff...

i hear ya, major exterior mods are only for a project car or a car that's rarely driven. jdm itr conversion isn't too pratical on a daily driver. I was faced with the same delimma and i decided that the jdm itr front was too much and the chances of it being stolen are to great.

look on the bright side, ur car is sitll there, cheer up.

Not a very fun life, always having to be worry about ur car...sheez

Human nature~~~no repect until one learned.

I know you're saying with the feeling of theft more then the replacment $$, when a guy broke into my car the other night and stole some stuff I just felt so violated, everything was open ad thrown all over the place, it was the fact that he was IN my **** that really made me
