I have a 94 cx hatch with a nasty blue interior, if you have it u know what i am talking about... i was wondering if anyone tried painting it, a friend of mine<same car> is planning on taking out his dash and everything and spray painting it black(after some primer of course) ... just wondering if anyone else tried this technique.... <car will be gutted , carpet and seats will not be painted > just the plastic stuff

 

There's an interior dye. Works with plastic and vinyl.

 

Get SEM vinyl prep and SEM vinyl paint. It works VERY well on the door panels and dash.

However, it does not work good on hard plastic. So you will need to get the rear panels from a donor car or the dealership.

I have done two interiors so far and they are in good shape. You can NOT scratch the color off.
