i was wondering how many gallons it takes you to fill up your car. i read in the manual it should take 13.2 gallons but today when i was almost empty i filled up. it only came out to only 9.6 gallons even after topping it off. maybe this is why i only get 200-220mpg

 

if i fill up as soon as the light first flickers on and then off again.....it'll take 10.5....

i've gone as far as filling 12.5 though.....close one, eh?

and did you mean 200-220 miles per tank?? if so, that's really low. i easily get 290+ per tank.

 

you mean miles per tank, not per gallon. and the correct answer is that the gauge is intentionally skewed so that it is more difficult for you to run out of gas. when your gas light indicator goes on, there is still plenty left...in 2nd gen integras it goes on with 2.4 gallons remaining, and i believe for the 3gens it's 2.2 gallons.

 

yea i meant miles per tank, i have a 99 gsr and i could only fill it to 9.6gallons today. this seems low since it should be able to take in 13.2

 

yeah i filled mine up to 9.5 gallons. what you can do is fill up your tank, reset your ODO TRIP meter...and when its time to fill it up...divide your MILES traveled on your ODO by the number of gallons you just filled. ex: i filled 9.5 gallons and went 245 miles. 245/9.5 = 25.7 mpg. that's pretty good i hope. if this isnt a right way of doing it, someone let me know.

 

i barely can make it go over 10 gallons... maybe its just the newer integs who knows....the reserve must be alot.. cuz i have drop about....30 minutes on the freeway on the light... during rush hour .. that was a scare of my life lOL

I have push 11 gallons into the tank one time. Thats the most I have ever put into the gas tank. My usual is around 8-9 gallons too.

 

I wish I could get free gas...

 

I have a 94 GSR and I get between 290-300 miles on a full tank. This is counting about 20 miles with the emergency gas light on. My car has 106k miles on it.

if u fill when it gets close to the E most of the time its around 10 gallons
i got about a 220 miles to a 10 gallen fill
is that bad? and how do i get better gas millage like some of the other tegs in here

I get 28 MPG in my 2000 LS. Filled it up for the first time the other day. Just got it 3 weeks ago.

 

damn, some of you guys are pushin' it! I'm usually filling my car up with 9.8-10.2 gallons everytime. But 12?!? Talk about running on fumes...

yeah.....it's scary when the light has been on solid for 2 days straight....

I usually get about 275-285 per tank and my average fillup is around 10-10.5 gallons. I've driven with the light on before and my record fillup is 11.8 gallons. Its really not good to run it that close because the you can pick up contaminates from the bottom of the gas tank. But...when ya gotta get where you're going and don't have time to stop...Waddya gonna do?

 

I have not played with my teg enough yet to know but in my '92 Civic CX the tank is supposed to only be 8.5 gallon tank but i have pushed 9.5 into it before

if i drive normal, i get 30 mpg city. if not, more like 25-27ish
dont know about miles/tank. i usually fill up when its 3/4 gone

 

Just filled up this morning

I went 350 miles and when I filled up I was able to put in 10.9 gallons. I could have taken it to 380 easy.

 

damn, something's wrong wit my car...I get only around 175-200 miles per full tank...and I even did a tune up recently too...my air filter is new too, maybe it's the fuel filter??

 

I usually get at least 300 miles per tank. 350-360 tops if Im mostly highway.

 

I usually fill up around 9 gallons.
