Default will 16x8 with +38 offset work on a ITR?

just wondering, friend got a set of these rims lying around, will these work without a problem of a ITR that's dropped little over 2inch on Tein HA? no cabmer kit.......

I am pretty sure that you will experience rubbing (even with the smallest tire possible on a 8" rim), not to mention the fact that ur car is dropped 2".

I know a few who have experienced rubbing with 7.5" rims, so I don't know how you can handle 8".

yah they'll work...just cant run a 215 size tire..stick with the 205/45 or lower..and you'll be fine

Hmm, please try not to pass on incorrect info because this can cause some serious safety issues.

FYI, You are not supposed to run 205s on 8", not even 7.5". By doing that, you are just asking for trouble.

what kind of safety issues? i plan to do similar with 15x7 and 195/55

There's a minimum acceptable rim width that a tire can take.

The idea is that each tire has a designed flex point in its sidewall. When you have a rim that is too wide, the resulting flex pt moves towards the rim. So now the lower part of the sidewall is much closer to the ground (it might even be in contact with the ground). This would cause the lower part of the sidewall to heatup(reduce tire life) or fail (damaged sidewall).
