painting an intake
Anybody ever painted an short ram intake?
My brother has a 96 lude and recently bought a SRI for about $20 but it has some major scratches on it, so i'm posting for him and checking if anyone ever painted there intake. If u did, how did u do it and with what type of paint. I heard ppl saying to use ceramic paint but it gives it a dull color, hes looking for something that shines.
Thanks!

Caring about intake shine is a little lame. Now that my opinion is out of the way, I would suggest going to the hardware store and purchasing a spray paint that can resist high temps. It should say on the can what temperatures it can withstand. Don't forget to put a cool sticker on the intake when youre all done.

I painted mine blue. I used 2 coats of high temp. paint plus 2 coats of clear. It looks pretty decent. Its keep heat off the piping, cause I'd touch my tubing to see if its hot, but it never was too hot...
