My dream is the new Accord 2.4 liter 4 cyl. with the Acura RSX-S head, supercharged. 268 whp. Someone's already done it.

i just found out that on the new accords that the header and head are one piece so it'll be harder to tune.

might not be a bad swap if you could somehow get the prelude tranny to bolt on to the engine. the accords trannys are geared much differently and gain increased efficiency at the loss of power.

It's true. The exhaust manifold is cast to the head. It also has a very close mounted cat-convertor. All this was done for inproved emissions.

Andrew - who would rather have a high-strung 4 cyl than a big V6 regardless of how much HP it makes

screw the accord V6 - if you're going to spend that kind of time and money, go with an NSX V6.

Yes the new engine in the accords spins the opposite direction than any previous honda's (well the brand new civic si spin the same direction but you get my point). And I've heard that the whole engine/tranny doesn't fit. So if you were to do it you'd need a custom built tranny anyway so gearing wouldn't be an issue, MONEY WOULD.

The whole header thing I think I need to take the 20min. trip from my house to Marysville OH and whoop some Mechanical Engineer's ***. That dumb *** group of guys should be shot. B/c down the road when the header rusts out it's going to kill people's wallets to try to replace it. Not to mention any of us trying to tune on that car.

Peace
