Hey guys would you paint you new ws exhaust flat black so the cops dont harass you?????

 

I did it on my old one for my 4door The new one, for the hatch, has stayed "bling bling" for the time being

 

black owns for sleeper mode.

painting the IC and exhaust for mah 240 black when i get my kit

 

my exhaust was painted black before but the paint started chipping, eventually i'm gonna paint it black again.

I say yes but since my RS*R already comes painted flat black, it's up to you: either roll with the bling bling look or go sleeper.

i would paint mine, but im to lazy to keep painting it whenever it gets scratch, so its staying likk that for mine

 

what paint to use? and whats the process? something like:

1) clean muffler
2)lightly sand
3)spray and let dry?

 

Not to state the obvious, but you should get high temp paint.

I did. Sanded the muffler w/320 grit sand paper. Applied 3 coats of high temp primer, then 3 coats of high temp flat black.

 

we got a powder coater bout 45 mins from us

he charges 40 dollars a wheel: so i am wondering if he would do a bulk set of es oval mufler and other's for us.

what you think bout powdercoating the muffler?

 

As long as the powdercoating lasts longer then the spraypaint, then it sounds good to me.

bling-bling gets you in trouble unfortunately where I live

just to let you guys know..i dont think its absolutely necessary to use high temp spraypaint on the muffler.. I dont think it gets to a temp hot enough to burn/bubble/peel regular spray paint..

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to use high temp..but just to let you know, i used just regular ol' flat black spray paint on my stock honda muff, cuz it was getting a little rust on the corner..so i spayed the whole muff with some flat black i had laying around in my garage..it has held up for months now! with no signs of thermal wear! but either way, its all good....in the hood.

 

i painted my tip black, so u dont see no bling bling, good stuff man, po po wont be attracted! holla!
