vafc in a non vtec?

I have a VAFC, and a d15b7. I plan on swapping a z6 in this weekend but I'd like to get everything wired up, as much as possible atleast. Can I wire it up now, everything except vtec and then just convert it over afterwards? Thanks,

yea it should work just dont hook up the wire for VTEC?

will work fine. you wont connect the pink, purple and blue wires.
