Not going to happen.
Unless you are good at making your own mounts. The hydro D series trannies
use a totally different rear engine mount and bracket.
Besides, the hydro D series do not use the same front engine mount, so you would have to come up with a way to make that work.
Then the main tranny mount needs a new mount since it is not the same either.
Then there is the cable to hydro convertion which if you are good at fabricating is not too hard either. I have done a few of those.

So i think i should use my stock tranny that has 253k. Im in the middle of doing swap. Swapin D15B8 low mileage into my 1988 CRX HF that weights about 1750 now. Do you think guys that should be good for beater. This engine i got almost for free.

With a light car, no traction, and a factory replacement clutch, I bet the old tranny will last a while... Now big clutch, big slicks, and heaver car = snap.

The weak point in EF trannies is the pinion shaft.
The pinion shaft is what holds the spider gears inside the differential.
Up until 91 Honda did not bother to get that shaft hardened, so it wears out.
If that shaft ever lets go so does your tranny.
I am in the process of building replacement "hardened" pinion shafts, but that requires you to take the tranny appart and replace the shaft.
